This Month: The Doors - LA Woman

The final studio album by The Doors in 1971, stripped away their earlier psychedelic sound in favour of a rawer, blues rock feel.

As well as the title track, it included classics such as Riders on the Storm & Love Her Madly.

Have a listen, come along and share your thoughts, your memories, your stories or simply listen in: no knowledge needed!

Released in August 1994, Portishead’s Dummy and Jeff Buckley’s Grace are masterpieces of atmospheric rock. +

Dummy pioneered trip-hop, blending melancholic vibes with haunting vocals whilst Grace showcased Buckley’s breath-taking, operatic, and emotionally-saturated voice.

Two amazing debut albums that were definitive sounds in the musical landscape of the 1990s.
